By working with Trip Trotter, Inc (herein after referred to as The Trip Trotter) the participants, (herein after referred to as the traveler) agree to the terms & conditions set forth in this document.
Only The Trip Trotter may vary, add, or waive any term or condition in this contract, to include terms or conditions set forth in the preceding provisions.
Any legal proceedings both on behalf of or against The Trip Trotter must be instituted only in a federal or state court located in New York, USA and such claim will be decided using the laws of the state of New York. Any legal proceeding against the company must commence no later than one year after the travel services have been completed
The Trip Trotter is responsible for making all arrangements for the travel/tour services as discussed with the client, including transportation, sightseeing, and hotel accommodations and related services. The carriers, hotels, and other suppliers providing travel/tour services are independent contractors and are not agents, employees, servants of, or joint ventures with The Trip Trotter or its affiliates. All certificates and other travel documents for travel services issued by The Trip Trotter are subject to the terms and conditions specified by the supplier and to the laws of the countries in which services are supplied. The Trip Trotter nor its affiliates shall be held liable for any damage, loss (such as personal injury, death, or property loss) delay, and change in air services, sickness, strike, war, quarantine, or expense occasioned by any act or omission of any supplier providing tour services or any other person.
To cancel your booking, you must send written notice to us by email at thetriptrotter@tzell.com. Cancellation fees will be applied per person according to the schedule set forth in the Payments Section. Your cancellation date is considered the date that we receive your email, not the date that you send the email. We will notify you immediately upon receipt of the cancellation. Should you not hear from us within 1 business day, please send another email as well as follow up with a phone call. A phone call without an email is not considered a cancellation.
The Trip Trotter reserves the right to terminate working with the traveler at any time.
While the traveler is free to make changes to the itinerary during the itinerary planning process, once the itinerary is developed and payments/confirmations taken, a $50 fee will be charged for each voluntary major change and a $20 fee will be charged for each voluntary minor change. The Trip Trotter reserves the right to decide what is considered a major and minor change. The Trip Trotter will not charge for any involuntary change, including but not limited to unforeseen construction on a hotel or the closure of an attraction.
Currency rates are always fluctuating. The Trip Trotter will be responsible for minor fluctuations in pricing. However, should the currency to USD ratio increase more than 2%, The Trip Trotter reserves the right to adjust the amount of future payments.
The Trip Trotter highly encourages travelers to purchase travel insurance, which includes medical coverage, trip cancellation, trip delay, missed connection (if applicable), and trip interruption. Baggage/personal effects, and baggage delay is highly recommended. Participants are required to fully understand their policy and its coverage. Should the traveler decline insurance, the traveler will be solely responsible for any cancellation penalties and out-of-pocket expenses. The travelers will be responsible for making their own separate travel, medical and any other provisions in the event of an emergency while they am traveling. The traveler also acknowledges that they are not protected from loss in the event of any travel vendor, travel supplier or any travel-related operator default. The traveler acknowledges they are solely liable for all airline fees, supplier fees, and agency fees that may apply, and hereby releases Tzell Travel, LLC, its parents, subsidiaries, officers, directors, employees, agents, and travel professionals from any and all liability related to this trip.
By planning a trip with The Trip Trotter, travelers confirm that they are well enough to travel. The Trip Trotter will not be held responsible for any illness, including Covid 19, that the traveler catches during their trip. Should the traveler have any restrictions, allergies, or dietary needs the traveler is responsible for notifying The Trip Trotter 30 days prior to departure. It is the responsibility of the traveler to make sure that their choices align with their dietary needs. The Trip Trotter will do their best to notify all necessary parties of any restrictions/allergies/dietary restriction. The local guide will be available to answer any questions regarding whether or not a dish is compliant with the participant's restrictions and needs upon request.
While we do our best to provide you with up to date information, travel restrictions and travel requirements (including required documents and mandated quarantines by localities) are constantly changing, including after commencement of travel. There is an inherent risk in contracting COVID-19 while traveling during the pandemic and each traveler must assess their own individual level of risk tolerance. We strongly urge you to check the latest guidance from the CDC and the State Department travel advisories and review the individual supplier’s websites before traveling. The travel plans you purchased carry certain cancellation / change penalties associated with them, possibly up to 100% of your trip cost. It is the traveler’s responsibility to understand these penalties. If The Trip Trotter has not already made these penalties clear to you either in writing or verbally please let us know. If beyond the cancellation date, no discounts or refunds will be provided for any unused portion of a trip, including but not limited to illness, early departure, delayed arrival, or have to be removed from a trip. There are no exceptions to this cancellation and refund policy, including for reasons related to weather, civil strife, personal, family or medical emergencies or any other circumstances beyond our control. The Trip Trotter again stresses the importance of travel insurance.
All travelers are responsible for ensuring that they have the proper travel documents, including a valid passport that is compliant with the destination's passport requirements. Travelers are responsible for making sure they have a visa or International Driver's Permit, if required.
The Trip Trotter will send final documents to the client once available. It is the responsibility of the traveler to ensure that all documents are in order without error.
The Trip Trotter is not responsible for the safety of participants when on their own and is not liable for the quality or any malice or negligence of any activity not booked by The Trip Trotter and any illness or repercussions that may come from it.
